How the Commission carried out its work
The Commission considered existing research and analysis.
It looked at the social partners’ Fair Work Board which preceded it.
It asked for evidence in October 2019 addressing key questions in its terms of reference.
The Commissioners held meetings with:
- public and private sector employers
- representative bodies
- trade unions
- equality bodies and
- other major stakeholders
The Commission met to discuss the report on February 19 and 20, March 8 and March 18.
We presented the draft report to the First Minister at the end of March. We will be publishing the report in May.
The Commission has now completed its work.
