Bravery award 2016 winner

Peter Fuller has been chosen as a Finalist for the St David Award for Bravery for his role in stepping to stop a horrific machete attack in Mold in January 2015.

The perpetrator attacked the victim, Dr Sarandev Bhambra with a machete while he shopped at a supermarket in Mold, for which he received a life sentence.

This nominee saved a life by selflessly intervening in a horrific armed attack on an individual not known to him, in a public place. He used great skill to diffuse the machete attack, placing himself in harm’s way by standing directly in front of the attacker to prevent him continuing his attack.
